« (…) Après un changement de line-up loin d’être insignifiant (départ du chanteur historique Pierre Mestrinaro aka Pit Samprass ET retour du guitariste originel, Philippe Agogué, après 20 ans d’absence !), marquant un nouveau chapitre dans l’histoire du groupe, le moins que l’on puisse dire c’est que [Burning Heads] allaient, de fait, entrer dans une phase quelque peu… transitoire !

Et pour faire de cette transition une période de renouvellement et de rebond, quel meilleur moyen que de prendre à nouveau le chemin du local de répét’ et des studios d’enregistrement ? Affronter les vicissitudes de la vie souvent agitée d’un groupe, en mode fight fire with fire… c’est-à-dire rebrancher les instruments et jouer. (…) Profiter de cet épisode incertain pour s’adonner à un exercice de style auquel les plus grands se sont pliés : un disque de reprises (enregistré avant que Fra, chanteur/guitariste de The Eternal Youth, ne soit choisi pour remplacer Pit Samprass au micro).

(…) Chaque titre de cet album [a été] réalisé dans le but de rendre hommage à un genre musical auquel ils ont toujours été fidèles et loyaux, mais aussi pour payer tribut à leurs premières amours, dont l’influence aura façonné leur son et leur attitude, durant plus de trente années d’une carrière impeccable de bout en bout. 19 morceaux, 19 chanteurs invités issus de la scène indépendante française, pour un album bien moins anecdotique qu’il n’y paraît.
